Surgical Care
Dental surgical procedures are sometimes necessary to remove infected teeth or treat defects of the bone or gums.
Dr. Galbo performs both routine and surgical tooth extractions in the comfort of our office. In some cases, he may recommend referral to a surgical specialist, such as oral surgeon or periodontist, to best support your specific treatment plan.

Restorative surgical treatments such as bone and tissue grafts may be recommended to provide support for dental implants or to optimize the fit of dentures. These treatments are also sometimes necessary to repair damage caused by periodontal (gum) disease. Crown lengthening is a fairly common surgical procedure in which the gum tissue or bone height is modified to expose enough tooth structure to support a crown.
Wisdom Teeth Extraction
Third molars, or wisdom teeth, typically erupt in early adult years. These "extra" teeth are positioned far back in the mouth and can be difficult to clean, making them troublesome for most people. If you have wisdom teeth, we may recommend that they be removed to prevent infection or decay that might affect surrounding teeth.
For your relaxation and comfort during surgical procedures, our practice offers Sedation Dentistry options. Contact Us for more information about surgical dental care.
