Your Child’s First Visit to the Dentist
We believe that a fun, casual first meeting is the ideal way to introduce the sights and sounds of the dental office to your child. We pace this visit based on your child's interest and response to the dental environment. Sometimes it is just a ride in the "spaceship" (dental chair), or a teeth cleaning while your child holds "Mr. Thirsty" (the suction) and learns what we are all about. We will also teach both you and your child how to make brushing and healthy eating habits fun and rewarding to help take care of that precious smile!

Your Dental Exam

You have probably heard the saying "knowledge is power". This is also true in dentistry. A thorough evaluation of your oral health provides us with important information and helps us create a strategy to keep your smile in good shape.

The Examination Process
Your examination will include necessary digital xrays, photographs, gum measurements and a detailed visual examination of your teeth, soft tissue, bite and jaw joints. After a thorough analysis, Dr. Galbo will document his findings and arrive at recommendations for your care.

Oral Cancer Screening. One person dies every hour in the U.S. from oral cancer. This devastating disease typically is not noticeable to the victim until the later stages, so early detection through oral examination can be life-saving. At each examination visit, Dr. Galbo will look for areas of abnormal oral tissue that require further investigation.

Your Smile Plan
Our primary goal is to help our patients achieve a healthy smile and support them through regular visits to monitor their condition and share current dental information and home care guidelines with them. Following your complete dental examination, Dr. Galbo will review his findings and recommendations with you to develop a plan to address your current and long term needs, with the goal of achieving optimal oral health and maintaining it for a lifetime. We invite you to read more about Dentistry to explore possible solutions for smile challenges you may be facing.
